001 The Birth of Baloney - Audio MP3

Once upon a time, not too long ago and not so far away, I became aware of what I might call a laissez faire awakening in me. That ‘spontaning’ continued for a couple of decades, on and off, up and down, like gentle waves on an ocean,until in due season, it started to bite! Damn and blast, but I guess it has to happen sometime.

During the next decade, it intensified somewhat and my perspective on everything began to shift - nothing was/is left untouched. If this has happened or is happening to you, you may find that other folk think you’re daft, mad or simply talking baloney. My advice is to keep schtum but that’s not so easy to maintain, especially when you’re with a chum. So it was, that my baby banned me from spouting ‘baloney’ and inadvertently gave birth to Mr. Baloney.

I can now spout online to my heart’s content (which kind of relieves a certain pressure) but more importantly, I know there are many others having similar experiences and the sharing of recognitions and realisations maybe serves as a kind of support and encouragement. To this end, I have started The Book of Baloney, in which I jot observations down and if they seem appropriate, make a video.
