I do not teach privately as my school and college work takes enough of my time and I have a busy gig schedule but I do run a Big Band Singing Summer School with my friend and colleague Jenny Howe:

The Big Band Singing Summer School

23rd July - 28th July 2012

with Anton Browne & Jenny Howe

A rare and exciting opportunity for you to sing with a big band, provided by the course running alongside, under the guidance of big band singers Anton Browne and Jenny Howe.

You will be allocated a big band song at the start of the course, after your voice has been assessed. A CD of all arrangements will be provided so please bring a portable CD player. Some sort of recorder will also be useful. If you have some contemporary singing experience this is an ideal course.

What else will you be working on?

•     Duets - these will be provided during the course
•     Group harmony pieces
•     Microphone technique and p.a.
•     Vocal technique relevant to swing singing
•     Stage craft and performance
•     Making a song your own - please bring two jazz standards with chord charts
•     Essential music theory - chord charts transposition, counting in etc.

Resident: £435 Non-resident: £335 (inc lunch and dinner).

Start time; Tuesday 7pm Finish time; after Sunday breakfast.
